Help veterans find the stability they’ve earned.
The Problem:
Many U.S. military veterans continue to face significant housing instability and homelessness, despite years of progress. On a single night in 2024, roughly 32,000 veterans were experiencing homelessness nationwide, with thousands living unsheltered. Veterans are particularly vulnerable due to factors such as PTSD and other mental health challenges, physical disabilities, disorders, and difficulties transitioning from military to civilian employment. Rising housing costs and a shortage of affordable homes have further intensified the problem.
Although veteran homelessness has declined substantially since 2010 thanks to targeted federal programs and housing initiatives, the issue remains a serious concern. Thousands of former service members still struggle to secure stable, permanent housing, and ongoing affordability pressures continue to put at-risk veterans in danger of losing their homes. Continued investment in housing, support services, and transition assistance remains critical to fully addressing the crisis.
How We’re Solving it:
At One Matters, We Are Actively:
- Building adaptive, affordable housing for vets
- Renovating and modifying existing homes
- Providing stable, long‑term housing solutions
- Partnering with social workers and case managers
- Offering supplemental therapies
- Connecting veterans with essential resources
- Creating a supportive community environment
- Reducing chronic homelessness
- Ensuring responsible stewardship of donor funds

In addition to housing, donor funds also support supplemental therapies and training programs that help veterans rebuild confidence, mobility, and daily‑living skills. We partner with social workers and trained specialists to ensure each veteran receives personalized support, guidance, and resources tailored to their physical, emotional, and long‑term needs. Every dollar you give creates stability, strengthens community, and helps a hero reclaim independence and hope.
